Lammas:  The hush of summer

Led by Robert & Marta & friends, with our musical guests, Lev Tahor

Hazel Hill Wood, Salisbury, Friday eve 7:00 -Sunday afternoon 4:00

1 - 3 August 2008

The Celtic festival of Lammas stands at the midpoint between the summer Solstice and the  Autumn Equinox, in what is sometimes called the "hush of summer" -- just on the edge of the beginning of the main harvest.  Tantricly, it is about experiencing what is -- nothing less, nothing more.  The invitation is to allow the boundaries between inner and outer and self and other to dissolve, to experience the now of summer.  This is not so easy.  The mind loves to "look before and after, and pine for what is not", especially at Lammas.

Our tools are a blend of meditation, breathing, voicework, bodywork, and the classic structures of western tantra, interwoven with some of the traditional Celtic rituals associated with  Lammas. But in all our work we also connect with the wood, expanding our awareness to absorb its healing energy, listen to its wisdom, and learn to dance our human, sexual dance embraced by its otherness.
